Our first prototype bra was worn for 48 hours straight and boasted leopard print spandex! Finally...a maternity/nursing bra that didn't look like something your grandmother wore!

Alas, a great product does not a company make. We realized that early success would depend on getting the word out to midwives, childbirth educators and lactation consultants that there was a new maternity / nursing bra to rave about - comfortable, stylish and affordable. Their response was overwhelmingly positive.

And voilà ... Bravado! Designs was born as a home-based business in 1992, the brainchild of two young mothers. Our bra was first launched in 3 sizes and 2 colours. In a short time we outgrew the house and now we offer bras in 12 sizes and 6 beautiful colours, fabulous maternity panties, and a revolutionary breast pad!
